Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap

This Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap is basically your favorite Caesar salad… but rolled up, easy to grab, and perfectly delicious. It’s crisp, creamy, a little tangy, and totally loaded with my Delecticious Caesar Salad Dressing — it literally makes every bite pop. With cool romaine, juicy chicken, and plenty of Parmesan, this wrap comes together fast and feels like a legit lunchtime upgrade.

INGREDIENTS

10‑inch large burrito tortilla (1): Your trusty wrap blanket — soft, flexible, and ready to roll. — I used La Banderita.

Caesar salad dressing (2½ tablespoons): Creamy, garlicky goodness that brings the whole Caesar vibe together. — homemade is best (recipe here).

Romaine lettuce leaves (3, torn in half): Cool, crisp, and sturdy — the classic Caesar crunch that keeps every bite snappy.

Cooked chicken breast (4 long strips, about 8 ounces): Tender, juicy and fresh chicken strips that make this wrap feel like a full meal. See notes for my easy cooking method.

Cherry tomatoes (5, quartered): Bright little bursts of juicy freshness add a sweet and slightly tangy flavor.

Diced red onion (2 tablespoons): A crisp, pungent, and slightly sweet pop that keeps the every bite lively.

Fresh grated Parmesan cheese (2 tablespoons): Salty, nutty, and absolutely essential for that signature Caesar experience.

STEP ONE: THE CHICKEN

You’ve got plenty of options for the chicken. You can use simple cooked chicken breasts, like I did (see below for how to make it). If you’ve roasted a whole chicken and have leftovers, they’re perfect for this wrap. Fried chicken strips or a grocery‑store rotisserie chicken also make delicious, no‑effort alternatives.

Simple Cooked Chicken Breast:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Dry the chicken breast.

  3. Rub in olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Set on a baking sheet and cook for 30-40 minutes (depending on how many breasts you'll be cooking), or until the internal temperature reads 165°F.

STEP TWO: PREPARE THE TORTILLA

Warm the tortilla in the microwave or on the stove. This will ensure it’s soft enough to fold without breaking. Place the tortilla on a work surface.

Slather 1 tablespoon of the dressing over the tortilla, stopping about ½ inch from the edge.

STEP THREE: LAYERING THE INGREDIENTS

Take your lettuce pieces and spread them out over the dressing.

Layer the chicken over the lettuce, lengthwise in the center of the tortilla. Then add the tomato, onion, and Parmesan cheese.

STEP FOUR: WRAP THE WRAP

It can be challenging to tightly wrap a sandwich or burrito if you haven’t done it before. Here are some guidelines. If you prefer,

Guidelines for a tightly wrapped sandwich or burrito (Love & Lemons has a great visual guideline here):

Position the tortilla and filling (filling will be shaped something like a rectangle or log) such that the wide end of the filling is facing you.

  1. Fold the left and right sides inward so they snugly cover the ends of the filling; this creates the “closed ends” of the wrap.

  2. With your thumbs, lift the bottom edge of the tortilla up and over the filling, pulling it toward the far side. Your fingers should be holding the folded sides in place as you do this.

  3. Tuck the bottom edge firmly underneath the filling, creating tension and tightening the roll. Continue rolling forward, keeping the sides tucked in, until the wrap is fully rolled and the seam lands on the bottom.

A FINAL TOUCH

I’ve been wrapping mine in deli wrap (get these on Amazon). It’s a great step when your sandwiches are packed with ingredients because it helps hold the bottom together while you eat. It also makes for a really nice presentation if you’re serving them at a party or picnic.

A final step - deli wrap:
