Instructions

  1. Cut the Cake: Use a biscuit or cookie cutter the size of your serving cups to cut 12 half-inch pieces of cake (you can also cube the pound cake if you don't have a cutter). Set aside on a plate.
  2. Wash the Berries: Wash the blueberries, remove any stems, and set aside in a bowl.
  3. Ready the Cherries: Open the can of cherries and set aside in a bowl.
  4. Shave the Chocolate: Shave 1/2 of the chocolate bar with a vegetable peeler and set aside in a small bowl.
  5. Whip the Cream: In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla to stiff peaks.
  6. Base Layer: Place a piece of cake at the bottom of each cup. Gently press so it's snugly tucked down.
  7. First Cream: Pipe in a layer of whipped cream.
  8. Cherry Layer: Add 1 ½ to 2 tablespoons of cherry filling. Tip: Use a tablespoon to add the filling carefully so it doesn't touch the sides of the glass.
  9. Blueberry Angle: Sprinkle blueberries over the cherry filling at an angle for a dynamic visual look.
  10. Repeat: Add the next layer of whipped cream, followed by cherry filling, and then more blueberries.
  11. The Grand Finale: Top with a final layer of whipped cream, a few more blueberries, and a decorative pipe of whipped cream. Generously sprinkle with chocolate shavings and crown with a glossy cherry.
  12. Chill: Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Can be made a day ahead.
