INGREDIENTS

Slider Buns (6): Soft, slightly sweet, and perfectly sized for bite‑sized melts. They crisp beautifully while staying tender inside.

Tuna (12‑oz can, in water): The star of the filling — mild, flaky, and ready to soak up all the savory, creamy flavors you mix in.

Onion (¼ cup, diced): Adds a fresh, subtle bite that brightens the tuna salad without overpowering it.

Celery (¼ cup, diced): Brings crunch and a clean, refreshing contrast to the melty, cheesy richness.

Dill Pickles (1 tbsp, finely diced): A pop of tangy brightness that wakes up the whole mixture.

Black Olives (1 tbsp, finely diced): A savory, briny note that adds depth and a little Mediterranean flair.

Fresh Parsley (1 tsp, chopped): A sprinkle of herbal freshness that keeps the sliders from feeling heavy.

Salt & Pepper (to taste): Simple essentials that sharpen and balance every flavor in the mix.

Mayonnaise (⅓ cup): Creamy, rich, and binding — it pulls the tuna salad together and gives it that classic melt texture.

Tomato (thin‑sliced, sized for 6 sliders): Juicy, bright, and cooling — the perfect fresh layer beneath the melted cheddar.

Cheddar Cheese (sliced for 6 sliders): Sharp, melty, and comforting. It’s the “melt” in tuna melt.

Olive Oil (drizzle): Helps the buns toast to a gorgeous golden finish.

Butter (½ tsp, room temperature): Adds a touch of richness and helps the tops brown beautifully in the oven.

MAKE THE SALAD AND PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS

In a mixing bowl, combine all the tuna salad ingredients and mix until evenly blended. Set the prepared components nearby so you’re ready to assemble the sliders.

LAYER THE INGREDIENTS IN A BAKING DISH

Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a buttered baking dish. Spoon the tuna salad evenly over them, then layer on the tomato slices and sprinkle lightly with salt. Add the cheese on top. Drizzle a little olive oil over the cut sides of the top buns, place them on the sliders, and cover the dish with foil. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

BAKE SOME MORE…

Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Your Tuna Melt Sliders will come out perfectly golden, melty, and irresistibly ooey‑gooey.
